HOW TO SUPPORT
Shadow Box Archives on Substack is a free community where posts are publicly visible without needing a subscription, but we do welcome free subscriptions to help our community grow. Our goal is to provide a place for all to post on and be seen, from which they may also get followers to their own Substacks.
Shadow Box Archives on Patreon is the curated side of our community, where only featured contributors may post and where featured contributors, narrators, and admins/moderators split all the profits from SBA plus features equally. NARRATORS
If you would like to narrate any of the stories posted here, you must reach out to the authors of those stories for their permission. They may ask for pay, or they may not give you permission to narrate their stories. You can message them directly on Substack.
HOW TO POST
If you would like to post here, you will need contributor status. DM or email us at adminteam@shadowboxarchives.com for a contributor invite, and once you are designated as a contributor you will be able to post on this community as you like. Please be mindful of the community rules when posting.

Thirstday
Get a drink and a snack, because this is Thirstday! On Thursdays we start new threads in our chat centered around a specific prompt and each week (AKA each Thursday) a new prompt is added along with a new thread. Whoever is participating (either illustrator or wordsmith and make sure you're subscribed) must post whatever they created within the chat thread. If you are writing a story and don’t have the ability to post in The SBA publication, then simply link a Doc file. Just make sure it’s viewable by everyone.
There’s not really a strict time window. I guess since the prompts are weekly, use that as a rule of thumb, but you don’t have to adhere to it. Although, I would aim for that since old prompts are going to get buried by newer ones. That’s pretty much it. Have fun, grab something good to eat, get those creative juices flowing, and don’t forget to bring your own drink.
